Customer service representatives are available by phone 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Harrisburg Driver & Vehicle Service Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to noon. Driver License Centers are open Tuesday through Saturday with hours generally 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Directions to each site and their hours may be verified by going to Locate a Service Center. Messenger Services are open extended hours determined by each site.

Pennsylvania Drivers License Types
Licenses are issued by “class”, G (graduated), D (operator), M (motorcycle) and A, B, C (commercial). If the class M license is combined with any other class of license, it will be added as an “endorsement” on the back of the current license.

Q: I'm listed as a named driver on my parents policy in Pennsylvania. I currently do not live with them. Do I need to get my own insurance policy?

A: If you don't live with your parents and you're a named driver on their insurance policy, you should be covered for any vehicle on the policy.
